Nar Phu Valley Trek Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our trekking representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest and recover from your journey. Later, you will attend a detailed trek briefing where guides explain the route, safety guidelines, and trekking schedule. Your permits and documents for the restricted Nar Phu Valley region will be checked and finalized. In your free time, you may explore Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks, temples, and vibrant local markets.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Jagat (Drive)
You will begin the journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Jagat, passing through beautiful hills, rivers, and terraced farmlands. The drive follows winding mountain roads alongside flowing rivers and traditional rural settlements. You will witness changing landscapes from city environments to remote mountain regions. Along the way, you may stop for meals and short breaks. Upon reaching Jagat, you will stay overnight in a local lodge or tea house.
Day 3: Jagat to Dharapani
You will begin trekking along the scenic trail following the Marsyangdi River. The route passes through forested trails, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and terraced farmland. You will walk through traditional villages inhabited by Gurung and Tibetan-influenced communities. The trail gradually ascends with beautiful mountain scenery. You will reach Dharapani and stay overnight in a tea house.
Day 4: Dharapani to Phu Village
Today’s trek takes you into the restricted Nar Phu Valley region, offering remote and untouched Himalayan landscapes. The trail ascends through alpine terrain, narrow valleys, and rocky paths. You will cross rivers, suspension bridges, and glacial moraine trails. As you gain altitude, you will notice Tibetan cultural influence in architecture and lifestyle. You will reach Phu Village, an ancient settlement surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, and stay overnight.
Day 5: Exploration Day in Phu Village
This day is reserved for exploring the historic Phu Village and surrounding areas. You will visit ancient monasteries, traditional stone houses, and observe Tibetan Buddhist culture. You can interact with local villagers and learn about their unique lifestyle. The village offers stunning views of surrounding peaks and high mountain landscapes. Overnight stay will be in Phu Village.
Day 6: Phu Village to Nar Village
You will trek through high-altitude valleys and scenic alpine terrain. The trail offers spectacular views of Annapurna region peaks and surrounding mountains. You will pass yak pastures, traditional settlements, and remote landscapes. Nar Village is one of the highest permanent settlements in the region, rich in Tibetan culture. You will stay overnight in a traditional tea house in Nar Village.
Day 7: Nar Village to Kang La Pass – Return to Nar
You will start early in the morning to ascend toward Kang La Pass, one of the highest points of the trek. The climb is challenging but rewarding, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna, Tilicho Peak, and surrounding Himalayan ranges. After reaching the pass, you will spend time enjoying the incredible scenery. You will then descend carefully back to Nar Village. Overnight stay will be in Nar Village.
Day 8: Nar Village to Phu Village
You will begin descending through scenic alpine valleys and mountain trails. The descent offers beautiful views of landscapes and surrounding peaks. You will pass traditional villages and yak grazing areas. The trail allows you to enjoy the peaceful and remote Himalayan environment. You will reach Phu Village and stay overnight.
Day 9: Phu Village to Dharapani
You will continue descending through remote valleys, rivers, and forested trails. The trail offers scenic views and cultural experiences. As altitude decreases, walking becomes easier and more comfortable. You will pass through familiar villages and landscapes. Overnight stay will be in Dharapani.
Day 10: Dharapani to Jagat – Drive to Kathmandu
You will trek back toward Jagat and complete the trekking portion of the journey. From Jagat, you will begin the scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The drive offers beautiful views of rivers, hills, and rural Nepalese life. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will transfer to your hotel and relax. Day 11: Final Departure
After breakfast, you will prepare for your international departure. Our team will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport. You will say goodbye to your trekking team and Nepal.
